Competition Context

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) is profoundly transforming higher education and reshaping the learning ecosystem. AI-powered personalized learning adapts instructional pathways and content to match each learner’s progress, knowledge mastery, and cognitive profile—transforming education from a “one-size-fits-all” model to one that is individualized and adaptive, making the long-standing ideal of teaching in accordance with individual aptitude increasingly attainable. Intelligent AI companions are available to provide timely support and answer learners’ questions anytime, anywhere. Real-time AI translation technologies are bridging language gaps, making educational resources more globally accessible and enabling more seamless cross-cultural collaborative learning. Affective computing is providing unprecedented learning support for marginalized communities... Building on this momentum, the Digital Intelligence International Development Education Alliance (DI-IDEA), in collaboration with Feishu, is launching the “AI for Learning” track. Participants are invited to explore diverse learning scenarios, integrate AI in meaningful ways, and design practical tools that shape the future of education. The competition is open to currently enrolled students from universities worldwide.

Competition Details

Participants may choose any of the following themes and transform their creative ideas into practical AI solutions tailored to a specific learning scenario. Deliverables may include, but are not limited to, Feishu multi-dimensional spreadsheets, mobile apps, web pages, intelligent agents, or demos. Participants are encouraged to use Feishu as an efficient tool for collaboration and communication.

Exploring future learning models and drive AI-enabled educational transformation:

How can the advancement of AI reshape higher education? What changes might occur in the way we interact during learning? How can collaboration in learning evolve in the future? Participants are encouraged to fully unleash their imagination to envision new forms of university learning improved by tools like Feishu. They are invited to develop implementable solutions and thoughtfully consider the appropriate use, boundaries, and ethical norms of AI technologies in these future learning scenarios.

Promoting equitable education and lifelong learning through AI:

The advancement of digital and intelligent technologies has opened up new possibilities for developing high-quality educational resources and narrowing regional and urban-rural disparities. Participants are encouraged to explore how AI can be leveraged to deliver inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education, ensuring lifelong learning opportunities for all. Participants should also provide practical implementation plans.

Developing easy-to-use AI-powered learning tools:

Participants are encouraged to leverage Feishu and other platforms to develop AI tools—such as personal knowledge managers, document reading assistants, intelligent learning companions, subject-specific AI tutors, and problem-solving agents—aimed at enhancing learning efficiency and outcomes.

Eligibility for Participation

1.Participants must be current students of higher education institutions or graduates who have completed their studies after January 1, 2025. Graduates before this date are not eligible to participate. Registration must ensure that personal information is accurate and valid.

2.Individuals may participate solo or as part of a team, with a maximum of five members per team. Each participant may only join one project in the AI for Learning track.

3.Each participating team can choose whether to appoint instructors, with a maximum of two allowed.

4.During the Semi-final round, detailed personal identification, team, and instructor information will be collected and verified for eligibility confirmation.

5.Information about team members and instructors may only be modified during the Preliminary round. Once a team advances to the Semi-final round, its members may be removed but cannot be added or substituted.

6.During the Competition, if any submitted materials are found to be false, or if any participants are caught plagiarizing or violating others’ intellectual property, the participants involved will be disqualified.

Building upon the creative ideas introduced in the Preliminary Round, participants are required to submit the following:

  • A refined project proposal, including the team introduction, identified problem, design concept, technical approach, key innovations, usage instructions, usage overview, and user feedback;
  • A product demo video showcasing the solution or tool’s features, usage, and outcomes;
  • A link to access the project along with test account credentials (username and password).

Building upon the creative ideas developed in the Semi-final round, submit the following:

  • A comprehensive project proposal;

Award Settings

The prize awards distribution for each team is as follows (all amounts are pre-tax and in RMB)

  • 1 gold award, with a prize of RMB 100,000;
  • 1-3 silver awards, with a prize of RMB 30,000 for each winning team;
  • 3-5 bronze awards, with a prize of RMB 10,000 for each winning team;
  • 3-5 Feishu Special Awards, with a prize of RMB 5,000 for each winning team;
  • 6-10 merit awards, with a prize of RMB 2,000 for each winning team.

Participants are free to choose the AI technologies and tools they wish to use. Official support includes:

  • Full-featured Feishu access—Exclusive Feishu accounts will be provided for the Competition, granting participating teams access to premium features.
  • Integrated AI tools: Multi-dimensional Spreadsheets + AI: a no-code platform for building research systems as easily as assembling LEGO blocks; Feishu Intelligent Q&A: an AI-driven Q&A tool tailored to your organization.
  • China’s largest open-source AI knowledge base;
  • Training sessions, among other resources.

Feishu also offers special rewards for participants. Teams that use Feishu’s multi-dimensional Spreadsheets to build or develop learning scenarios or applications will receive priority access to the following:

  • ByteDance Site Visit
  • Participants who submit their proposals will be invited to ByteDance to exchange ideas on the latest AI technologies and exceptional tools.
  • PKU x Feishu AI Maker Certification
  • Each award winner will receive an AI Maker certificate/trophy jointly issued by Peking University and Feishu.
  • Fast Track to a ByteDance Career
  • Participants may secure initial interviews for select roles at ByteDance.
  • Opportunity to Visit Feishu’s Major Clients
  • Participants may have the chance to visit prominent enterprises and engage in face-to-face communication with their CEOs.
